Catherine Cosgrove is a psychotherapist, specializing in addictions since 1992. Catherine was the Clinical Director for residential substance-abuse facilities, during a seven year period, treating federal inmates prior to release into the community. While there she also led specialized groups dealing with issues particular to female substance abuse. She was also responsible for conducting counselling sessions with family members of the residents in treatment. Catherine believes in treating the whole person and thus teaches meditation to the residents as a means of finding self-awareness and to provide addicts with relaxation and stress reduction techniques rather than self-medicating with drugs.
